Hi, and welcome to my site! I’m Jessica Corbin, and I’m an active singer, pianist, songwriter, conductor, vocal coach, and music director in and around New York City and the Lehigh Valley of PA. I also compose and arrange music for myself and others to sing.
Since relocating to the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania in late 2020, I’ve been keeping busy playing piano (and some accordion!), and singing with some awesome singer-songwriters, including Eliza Rush and Dee Dasher (and Dee and I have a fun duo called SHEnanigans!). In the recent past, I’ve been a member of the C4 Ensemble: the Choral Composer/Conductor Collective in Manhattan, both as a soprano and conductor, and in 2019 I stepped down as Artistic Director and Conductor of BVS Women’s Choir in Brooklyn, a community choir that I founded in 2000.
During the day, I love my job as a Lecturer at City University of New York Kingsborough Community College, in Music and Theatre, where I’m also the Music Director for all musical theatre productions and activities. I’ve also taught private voice lessons for musical theatre at Marymount Manhattan College and Western Connecticut State University.
In addition to my work at KCC, I was the Chair of Musical Theatre for Region 1 of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival from 2018 - 2022, which celebrates the work of college students in all aspects of theatre.
