Recorded, and brilliantly mixed and mastered by Kent Heckman at Red Rock Recording Studio in Saylorsburg, PA

I can’t thank all of these wonderful musicians enough for playing my music with me - they truly helped to make this experience much easier and more fun than I ever thought possible. I’m so grateful for my whole family - in addition to my songwriter-influence dad and my supportive mom, I’m thankful for my three kids who always at least pretend to like my music. And above all I want to thank my husband and partner-in-everything Chris. He’s my support system, my love, my sounding board, my “okay now listen to *this* version” person, and I don’t know what I would do without him.

If you would have told me 2 years ago that I would be making a recording of songs I wrote, I would have laughed and laughed and laughed. I had never even written a song all by myself. After my friend Eliza pushed me into some songwriter prompt group on Facebook, I started writing in the summer of 2021 and haven’t looked back (thanks, Eliza!). Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and make music with so many wonderful musicians in and around my new hometown of Jim Thorpe, PA (Chris, Dee, Sara, Kevin, Shawn, and Brett), and for some strange reason they all said yes when I asked them to come and play my music with me. I got to write a few songs with Dee (one of which we recorded here), and wrote a song with my good friend and prolific songwriter John Rafferty. I also had the opportunity to work with my long-time friend Erik Unsworth whose bass you can hear on several of the tracks. And I have a special thanks to Russ for learning all of my songs for our gigs, then pushing me to record when I kept doubting myself!

This whole process has been exciting, nerve-wracking, educational, confidence-building, and above all, really really fun. I mean, how lucky am I to be able to make music and then record it with my friends? I also had the opportunity to work with the ah-mazing Kent Heckman at Red Rock Studio, and I am so glad - his experience and incredible musicianship (and surprise guitar playing), coupled with his professionalism and laid-back demeanor made it easy (especially during ambitious recording days!). There were lots of laughs in the studio, as well as lots of mutual respect, which of course made everything enjoyable for everyone.

Thanks for listening, and hope you enjoy the songs!
